Yes, and no. We are doing just that at The Lido and there is still a lot to edit, where Peter’s computer game model (as good as it is) does not match the aerial photo of the course.
Also, in a computer sim version there are no heavy rains so no need to worry about real world concerns like DRAINAGE. The tees are dead flat, greens drain over the faces of bunkers, etc. In Wisconsin the site is so ridiculously sandy and free draining that this presents few problems, but anywhere else you would have to be much more careful in thinking what goes into the computer. Just like it’s always been - garbage in, garbage out.
