To be fair - and I know you weren't trying to be! - if your first post had just said, "It's a good book," or anything like that, I would not have asked the question.
Maybe half the people who post regularly on GolfClubAtlas have seen enough golf courses to write a book. We could all make our best guess about them because we have read their posts here and have some idea of their tastes. But that's harder to do when the book is written by someone you don't know anything about, so, a good reference is important.
