Personal Messages Firewall

I am sorry to resort to clogging the board with a thread like this but I could not figure out how to seek help otherwise.
While I receive personal messages those I compose and try to send bounce back with a " you are not allowed access to this section"
Help please for this hopeless luddite.

Are you sure you're logged in?  And haven't been timed or logged out of website discussion Group?

Ward, Check your inbox, just sent you a message.

There are two ways to message that I've found, although probably more exist.

1) Click on thier name as it shows on a thread like this one, then select the Personal Message option and the New message dialog will pop up with thier name pre-loaded.

Or....

2) Click on the member list, find their name, and then select the little monitor icon next to it and it'll bring up same.

You can't click on someone else's name. You can only PM/DM by entering the other person's name into the TO: field.

Actually you can just click on someone's name. Scroll down and send the PM.
