Not sure if the price is inflated or not, but a beautiful setting. I have never played there although I'd like to experience it to get the Bond photo.  I'm a big James Bond fan.

Never been. Has the golf course got potential if put in the right hands or is it lacking in topography or soil?

I’m not entirely sure the owners are/were the issue.

Historically speaking, a very important course. The project that, in many ways, really made Colt’s name.

I played it once about fifteen years ago. It is a splendid place and a very fine course. I wouldn't go out of my to play it, however. There are too many other great courses in the area.

Oh, just that it was his first really big new build project (he'd built several new courses before it but in the regions) and it got a ton of publicity. Darwin, for one, was all over it.

I feel bad for the members who will have to endure another long renovation.

Gosh, that's a surprise.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

Are all 27 holes going to be closed or are they doing it in phases?
I played there a few years ago in a tournament.  They have lots of Goldfinger themed merchandise in the shop.
