If forecast climate, weather, and thus softer conditions prevail, I think it might go closer to
-14/15 (273-4)... most of these guys can go bonkers these days... on a dampish day with little wind, I can see 63 being challenged


The current forecast looks like Thu pm thru Sat are going to be warm, cloudy, moist, some pop up storms... Thursday AM might be the only day they get the firmest fastest version, the PM finishers might see the course in its most difficult light this week.


I love Finau, but I can't argue for him as he can't seem to seal it up.
I'd like to see Rahm win, but there's still a cauldron in him that will take a Sunday misfortune hard.

Heard an interesting fact on GC last night that, in the last 50 years at the Masters, a player in the world "top 16" has one the tourney 44/50 times.

Sounds about right Ian.  A few month back I did some analysis on winners from 2000 to 2020, and found this:

Masters: 21 winners
- Number of winners ranked in top 10 of OWGR entering the week: 11
- Number of winners ranked outside the top 25: 4
- Number of winners ranked outside the top 50: 2 (Zach Johnson, Angel Cabrera)
- Number of repeat winners:  3: Woods - 4, Mickelson - 3, Watson - 2
- Average OWGR of winner: 15
