Very OT Anyone ever have this surgery? Posterior Tibial Tendon Reconstruction

Sorry for the OT. The surgeon attached a neighboring tendon to the Posterior Tibial Tendon and then cut my heel in half and moved it over and pinned it. If you have had this surgery how long did it take for you to recuperate? My dr said about five months and a year to be 100%. Just had it yesterday.

How long had this been bothering you? How much pain were you in?

I injured it in September and haven't played since then. We tried rest and therapy but it just didn't heal. It could have been an issue that 40 years of running caused. The good news is that it will get better.
