Prayers for RJ (Dick) Daley aka bendelow2

GCA family,


Please pray for Dick Daley, a former Green Bay Police Officer who is struggling tonight at death's door.


RJ has been an eloquent, insightful, passionate  contributor on this and previous sites for over two decades and many of us have been fortunate to have shared the joy of his friendship and exuberant personality in person on multiple continents, in multiple States, and on multiple shared venues.


He represents the best of us.

Thanks for the news. I had dinner with him last summer and he was all smiles and forward looking. Great fellow and friend to all.
He is in my prayers.  Glad he made it out to the Mashie one-dayer at Lawsonia.

Simply one of the loveliest friends I've known. I will hold out hope that Mike is misinformed. Nevertheless, I'm tremendously grateful to have enjoyed more of the man's company than I deserved on the handful of occasions that we've been in the same geographic vicinity. Reflecting back on our walk around Lawsonia back in September with a heavy but full heart tonight.

You insisted I play Wild Horse which to this day remains the firmest/fastest course I’ve ever played.

I had the pleasure of meeting and playing golf with Dick back in the TraditionalGolf.com days before GCA. Truly a great guy with a passion for golf architecture.


Hope he can still be with us for a long time.

I saw Dick’s update elsewhere also... I will be thinking of him until we hear news. He’s fought through other trials with good humour. Fingers crossed he can manage same here.

Prayers to Dick and his family. He was one of the originals and really a great great guy. His passion for the courses in the praire was off the charts. I'll be thinking about you, praying for a 4th quarter rally.

I had a great day with him many years ago at Erin Hills followed by dinner at a sketchy roadside pub.  What a fine man.
