My nominees from Chicagoland:
13th at Lakeshore CC- great risk-reward par 5 that involved no water or OB. Semi blind shot to an elevated green perched in a valley with a punchbowl in the back quarter of it. My favorite par 5 in my area.
6th at Westmoreland. Devilish par 4 with a stark choice off of the tee and an interesting green. I still haven't settled on the ideal strategy.
9th at Onwentsia. The clubhouse behind adds to it, but it is a great long par 3.
12th at Old Elm w/ the 2 big shoulders on the front of the green restored to the Colt intent with furry tear drops scattered about in the rough.
2nd hole at Butterfield CC- White course- my favorite of the 27 holes. Feels like Winged Foot East.
