Now accepting reservations. I picked a random Sun/Mon night stay in January 2023 to check pricing. Looks like base level hotel room runs about $1600/nt. and then $500/rd. for golf.

Yeah, I was looking at the 5-Day Golfer's Wellness Package. The $2,500-$3,000 didn't seem so bad until I noticed that was per night.

In going through the old threads on Porcupine Creek I came across this.  Don't know if it is true but it is one of the most spiteful things you could ever do.

Porcupine Creek is a privately owned golf course by Edra Blixseth, formerly used to be Tim Blixseths own golf course whenever he was in the desert, but a divorce happened and now it is Edras course.  I know many people out in the desert and it is almost impossible to get on this course.  You must know the Blixseths personally, or play in one of their rare outings.  Legend has it that when Tim Blixseth was still married to Edra, he'd make note of spots on the course Edra regularly played to, and then place a bunker in that spot.  Might explain the end of their marriage  .  Needless to say, there is a fair amount of sand, in addition to the jungle of trees.

Seems like the desert version of Ardfin with more recreation options. We knew it would be pricey but this is not in almost anyone's price range. Seems like 2 or more night minimums. Wonder what they did to the golf course itself. Anyone know what they did or who did the work?

Its the age old quandry.  Do you lure more customers and charge em less?  Or less customers that you charge more?

One thing is for sure, you'll have far less wear and tear on the course if you charge 10 people $1000 each vs 100 people $100  each.

Here's how Golf Digest ranks the courses in the desert. Ten of the top 11 are private. Coachella GC will presumably make it 11 of the top 12. It seems pretty reasonable that there's room in the market for an ultra-high-end resort course to succeed.

If you go on the booking engine for the site, you can add daily golf to your room for $950 per person. King room is $1800 per night. 2 night min stay. I would assume no golf outside of resort guests.
