"Member Good Dude Tips Accordingly" would be a terrific title for a new USGA publication on etiquette (and fast play and simplified rules etc) -- you know, to help dispel the notion of stuffy shirts and blue jackets.

8) ;D

Not as good but funnier!

Pine Valley #14  par three     circa 1980

Golfer launches first shot way right into parts unknown ,  competitor playing partner uber competitive jerk secretly happy.... player reloads and aces it for three.

As we are walking down stairs toward green player B (jerk) reminds us we never lose balls at PV etc etc etc , we say oh that's a bit of a wives tale. Member good dude laughing a little as he listens. He knows!

We get to area where ball likely landed, swampy awful spot and give it a quick glance before moving on, player B not happy proving he qualifies as (jerk)

All parties otherwise loved that par!

Mines not as good either but happened at the 15th at Pine Valley.

Hit a hook off the tee and then a provisional.  Walking down the middle of the fairway I hear the caddie yell found your ball proving that caddies do find every ball.

So I go up in the trees and punch out which runs all the way across the fairway behind a tree on the right.

Now I punch back out to the left, followed by a 3 wood to the front. Made a 50 footer for par.

Playing with strong golfer at Tualatin CC on the par 5 (489) 11th Hole. Tee shot to left never found, likely OB.  Re-tee finishes about 5 feet from the OB fence. Holed out from about 225 for birdie.
