10. Portrush Valley (par 4 tee)
...

Unless I am mistaken, Google Earth is showing a bunker off the front left of the green.
The website score card says Valley 10 is a par 4, so I don't understand the comment "par 4 tee".

Are the two of you talking about pre and post Ebert re-routing? Different hole numbers...

Just talking about what appears to be in the ground now. Sean it seems would be going off of his picture tour before Ebert.

Here is the GB&I course I came up with.  I tried to have a few 5s, some longish tough 4s, some short 4s and at least four 3s.
...
10. Portrush Valley (par 4 tee) St Enodoc 4 (not my favourite hole, but every course needs an awkward or or two)
...
Ciao

I was looking further at my eclectic 18, and I learned what I thought would be 11 at Narin and Portnoo is actually now the 10th hole, because Hanse dropped what was the par 3 3rd hole from his revision of the course. Recalling the land where what is now the 10th hole and looking at it on Google Earth, it looks like it could be a great choice for #10. Has anyone played the new hole? Can anyone compare the new hole to St. Enodoc 10? Ally, are you plugged in enough on this to comment?

I was lucky enough to play Paraparaumu Beach on both Saturday and Sunday to mark a birthday.

The 5th and 16th holes are undoubtedly two of my favourite par threes in the world. Both are bunkerless and should be part of the conversation.

The 13th hole is a well photographed par four with a tumbling fairway - another consideration for this exercise.

Some candidates off the top of my head...there might be a few that have bunkers  :-*

Looking at this thread again, isn't there a bunker back right of the green on 3 at Silloth?  Not sure I have ever seen anyone in it but pretty sure it's there.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

The 4th is bunkerless, isn’t it?

Correct, the 3rd at Silloth has a small pot bunker front right of the green. From memory the only bunkerless holes at Silloth are 4th, 7th, and 13th.

Is it rear or front? I have no memory of either.

Nevermind, the bunker is mid right and to be honest a bit silly.

8th, 14th, 16th at Jasper Park should surely be in the discussion.
1st, 3rd, 7th, 9th at Elk Island, too

Without looking at google maps I'd say front right. It's a small circular pot that Martin Hawtree would be proud of. It's not really visible for the approach (from memory) and I think I was only ever in it once. I've often thought if the same job could be done by a small depression. It certainly doesn't dictate play or I suspect influence it for much of the time. Indeed it might be argued that it would be a better hole if the grass was cut short enough so the ball could run up the bank some and run back down on to the green similar to the (current) 1st hole at Renaissance.
