Sorry, missed your suggestion at the time but would be happy to play our game at Kinghorn when we’re able to get out. Looks interesting and also handy location wise for me. :)

Not sure if you’d thought of any other possibilities since we last spoke but I was trying to find somewhere between us and (think) I might have come up with a good one...can save it for another time though.

No worries David, there's no rush is there ? However you can't tease us with talk of '.. a good one' without spilling the beans. Especially when it looks like we're in for another 3 weeks of lockdown!

No rush at all Ian. Saw that today that the situation isn’t going to change until the end of May at the earliest.

I was thinking about Newbattle for our match. Not sure if it’s been changed much over the years, or how good it is, but thought it might be a chance to see one of the few Colt designs in Scotland. Anyone on here played it?

Good shout, My friend Neil Ross used to be a member there (not sure if you've met, he's  @Mortonhall now) - I'll get the lowdown from him. Nice summer evening outing.

Looks like Scottish golfers will be free to travel a bit further for their golf hit after the 3rd of July so who wants to suggest a date for a Kinghorn meet up?  What suits the majority, weekend or late pm given the copious daylight right now?

So far this year, I played two rounds at Slaley in March, one at Thornton last weekend and am set for another Thornton on Friday and Monifieth on Sunday, so, obviously my game is in top form.

I think we’ll probably be driving back on the 26th but we haven’t finalised things yet.

Today Nicola removed the 5mi travel guidance for recreation so we are good to go for this get together.


Still only 3 households mixing  so likely 3 balls but some hope that 4 may be allowed after the 10th July.

Edit: It seems to have defaulted all the times to 5pm, but I'm guessing once the day has been agreed, a suitable time can be made. In general, per Ian, 5pm during the week and during the day on the weekends.
