I tried to get going a discussion of the golf architecture career of Marion Hollins by bumping the thread on the Women's National Golf and Tennis Club, that she founded. But I guess I was too obtuse.
I'm sure that many of you know of her role in working with Alister MacKenzie on many of his projects, including Cypress, Pasatiempo and Augusta National. She was honored this week by being inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Long overdue in my opinion. I believe there needs to be more focus in the Golf HOF on historical figures like her; they helped make golf the game it is today.
