What a picture.  A bit humbling to be in such company.  I am glad I made the trip to San Diego, great group, and now I wish I had more time at Pete's to delve into everyone's background a bit more.  Many times I have wondered how great it would be to live in Pete's house with the afternoon sea breeze.  Todd has a course there that has withstood the test of time.  I would enjoy playing it again and again, even with that tree in the middle of the 1st fairway.
Some unforgettable moments, seeing Gib's swing for the first time, watching Tommy attempt pairings, Gib in the backyard with his cigar, scotch wanting so much to discuss USC football.  Meeting John(Barney) and thinking this guy is so out going he acts like we have been friends forever.  Deciding the South has no chance against Huckaby and Benham, they have serious golf games.  Shivas so proud he reached a par 5 in two(I was impressed).  First time being around Lou Duran, with whom I have traveled many times in many countries since.  And finally before KP my round with Pete Pittock, John Van der Borght, and Craig Edgmand at Eastmoreland discussing that there is a web site that thinks like we do.
It must be kept in mind that the elusive charm of the game suffers as soon as any successful method of standardization is allowed to creep in.  A golf course should never pretend to be, nor is intended to be, an infallible tribunal.

Always great to hear from the big lefty, sadly, no group photos at KP Rustic Canyon / Sinaloa ("Raters not welcomed"), so these will have to do:

I would do anything to go back to those magical moments, anything.

Seeing Uncle Bob's photo brings joy to my heart.

Had dinner with The Emperor, just before the universe exploded . . . . . how can I ever repay the love and joy I've been blessed with to know - and hang with - this bag of deplorables?

So many from these photos are gone - and some, like the mysterious Anthony Gray - vanished from my life.

An assortment of links to past KP threads, likely not all of them and due to the demise of free Photobucket, many of the photos are NLE.
