It appears - to my untrained eye - the image may have changed to match the ratio of height and width which has exaggerate the features.  Or is this just me ....

I think this is the correct aspect ratio.  The vertigo-inducing home page image is scrunched horizontally.


This is at 683x456.  The original appears to be at 1024x683

I'm glad that you guys clarified that.  I was thinking that it was just the field of view/ zoom or something else that made it look so exaggerated. 


Very striking image either way.
