Rustic Canyon and Simi fires?

Anyone got any intel on the status of Rustic Canyon?  It’s not far from the Reagan Library and those fires look really fast moving.

I live in Moorpark and fortunately Rustic is north of the fire.  Winds are out of the northeast so it should be good.  We will have to see about Tierra Rejada as that’s in the evacuation zone.

Very good.  I can imagine that valley with fires all around and 40 mph.

If it was Augusta, or TOC, or Cypress, or Dornoch that was threatened by a natural disaster, the golf world would care.

I am waking up in Maine with the sound of The Atlantic Ocean in the distance. I would have similar thoughts of Cape A, Prouts Neck, and Goose Rocks Beach during a hurricane. It does not mean that I don't care about Secretary Moore, his family, and friends.

Rustic Canyon seems to have been spared as the Santa Ana winds are blowing the fires away from the course. TBD if I'll get out to Rustic tomorrow, but I'll update this thread if I do.

However the new Maria fire that flared up last night seems to be on a direct path towards Saticoy. I wish the Ventura Country Fire Department all the best as they battle these fires.
