If there is a road or body of water that forms the border that is not contiguous. Additionally if they are sister courses i.e. Bandon, Bethpage, Streamsong they are not eligible. Here are two to start:

Oak Hill East/Irondequoit
ANGC/Augusta CC

Tim,

do you want examples of courses that are contiguous or not contiguous? Also, what is the point of this question?  ???

Jon-I think it’s clear that the question asks for examples of contiguous courses. The point of the question is nothing more than something that I thought might be interesting on a rainy Sunday morning when I would otherwise be playing golf. If you require any other information regarding same it will have to come in the form of a deposition with counsel present. ;)

Michael,

I guess you mean Trump Balmedie, not Turnberry? But it does not border Newburgh. There is almost a mile between them.

Not exactly sure, but pretty darn close if not.  Royal Cinque Ports and Royal St. George/Princes

In this exercise not even close as they are more than three miles apart. Apparently I have to keep you guys honest. ;)

Tim 12th tee at Deal to 4th green at RSG is around 800 yards, the clubhouses are around 3 miles apart.

Tim,

I was just asking clarification for your sentence

'If there is a road or body of water that forms the border that is not contiguous'

which is pretty meaningless as it is being neither a question nor statement or anything else. I just wondered why is it there! I thought you obviously meant to convey something by it and I just wondered what! I thought it might have been a clever new insight to make people think about what they might answer. Judging by the answers so far it seems everyone else just ignored it and given your shitty answer I am sorry I bothered asking.

I believe there are a few in Naples.

On the North end of town, Calusa Pines is separated from Golf Club of the Everglades by a strand of trees (Calusa Pines?).  Golf Club of the Everglades is likewise contiguous with Olde Florida if a drainage channel doesn't trip up the "body of water" test.

Moving South on 41, I believe Hole in the Wall and Royal Poinciana are separated by only a similar drainage ditch.  I believe both touch Wilderness Golf and that Royal Poinciana also touches Bears Paw.

Lots of golf in Naples, which ups the chances of having unrelated courses sharing a border.

Do they have to be any good?  I think one hole at Steele Canyon in the San Diego area borders a hole at what is now called Cottonwood, and I think used to be Rancho San Diego.  Neither are particularly great, although Steele Canyon is a Gary Player design that was a bit of a shiny object 25 years or so ago.  I remember playing a college tournament at Rancho San Diego, looking over the fence and wishing we were playing Steele Canyon.

While Willow Ridge and Apawamis are contiguous, Park Drive South separates the 4th at Willow Ridge from the 3rd at WCC South.
