If I get on a plane and contract Covid and die my wife would kill me.

Maybe not .

Any folks want out of Buda? Let me know and unlike some top UK clubs, I will refund your dosh.

Sean,
My airbnb can be canceled up to 3 September. As long as Tony is attending, he could still use it even if I am unable to attend. I can wait a similar amount of time to decide on canceling my flight for credit.

I continue to plan to attend unless my prospects for getting into the UK and back home are too dodgy.

Not worried about my prepayment. If I have to cancel last minute, then the funds can either go to the clubs or buy a round of drinks.

I am taking the position that I can wait for quite a while before I must make a decision.  Flights should be readily available and reasonable and courses shouldn't be very crowded.  It still depends on health safety as well as US and UK policies.

Same here. I can cancel my reservation at the Burton until Sept 15th and haven’t booked a plane ticket yet. If I can’t make it, I trust that my prepayment is put to good use by those present.

In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

I am conscious that we have booked many prime tee times for Buda. I also don't wish to discourage people from attending Buda. However, if folks are going to cancel its better that it not be last minute.

Sean,

This is a good point. Would it make sense to check with the clubs and establish a date that after which fees are due, whether we play or not? I would like to wait as late as possible before canceling, as I really do not want to miss this year. I don't have a problem paying for the golf if I'm unable to attend if doing so buys me more time.

I'd imagine that the UK contingent will still go, but maybe we could get a show of hands on that? Mine is up.

We should anticipate that some (hopefully not all) of the USA contingent will have to drop out. If we are to recruit UK golfers to take up the numbers it would be better to know that sooner rather than later.
2024: RSt.D; Mill Ride; Milford; Notts; JCB, Jameson Links, Druids Glen, Royal Dublin, Portmarnock, Old Head, Addington, Parkstone, Denham, Thurlestone, Dartmouth, Rustic Canyon, LACC (N), MPCC (Shore), Cal Club, San Fran, Epsom, Casa Serena, Hayling, Co. Sligo, Strandhill, Carne, Cleeve Hill

Only able to speak for me. If I'm allowed in the country without a quarantine period, I'll be attending. Problem is that I have no idea if this will happen.

Hopefully the U.K. will let me in but given the increase in COVID cases here it is looking less likely. Flight rates upon opening will also have an impact. I still am scheduling my work around the dates.

Sean,

Would it be best to delay Kington BUDA til 2021 like the Ryder Cup has done. This would allow for as many overseas players to play the course if the opportunity doesn't arise this year which I think is more unlikely as time gets nearer.

Kind Regards
Ben
