Rumour mill/speculation is that it might be start to The Buck Club. Not in Utah though, but close enough.

Lots of land near the airport has been under water since March. Doubt it’s anywhere near there. Although i think the land Tom’s course was on is dry. Judging by the photos posted it’s gotta be in the big heaving hills between souix city and omaha. Easier to access than Tatanka.

King Collins Golf's new course outside Homer, NE will be called Landmand GC - Danish for 'farmer'. Part of 20,000-acre corn farm owned by Andersen Family, the course will cover 580 acres with about 120ft of elevation change. Collins says routing was much easier than expected.

"The 1st will be about 590 yds. It just presented itself. The 2nd will have a cool reverse Redan. The 3rd traverses a crazy valley...the 7th is a 310-yd four, the 8th a Postage Stamp 3. They just all followed each other perfectly. Took us a day and a half to route all 18."

Public with maybe 100 or so memberships.

Pretty excited about this project as a forever Nebraska. Family is well involved in golf here. Son Will in on the Nebraska Golf Association board and, I believe, the current club champion at Prairie Dunes as well. A good Mid-Am player. Will be great for our state and the land look amazing.

Course will cover 580 acres....
surely there's an explanation there...or a misquote...

I was wondering same Jeff.

Didn't think they'd build an extreme cart ball course in Nebraska, but maybe you just gotta go with the best 18 you find...even if they're a bit far apart...

The site is 580 acres, but the course occupies around 200. The green to tee connections are very close, and it will be easily walkable.

Is the soil sandy at all? Maybe not so much in that part of the state?

This isn't in the Loess Hills is it?  I have to think there will be stability issues if it is.

Is Andy Johnson from the Fried Egg involved in the design of this project? Or, is he documenting the design and build for content purposes?

Here is some first hand observer information answering some previous questions:

1: The site is a porous sandy loam that drains well with surprisingly little erosion.
2: Bulldozers love it but it packs like damp sand.
3: Big sky long views and wide, Irish style valleys. Think Strandhill and Enniscrone. Elevation changes are dramatic.
4: No ocean view but there are endless horizon views that transit the Missouri River, miles of Corn, Soybeans, Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota.
5: Sun Up and Sun Down are epic.
4: You can assume there will be intermittent documentary photo and film work.
6: In the initial dozer time trials: Tad V. Rob : Tad is 1 Up
7: Re: Fried Egg, Only the architects are architecting. Storytellers are storytelling.
8: Damn, on my DVR, Kimi Raikkonen just went into the barrier on the Parabolica, Red Flagging the Q3 session so I need to pay attention.

Thank you for update. This will be a cool project to follow. Can you expand on point 7? Will Andy be writing articles, YouTube episodes and/or Insta stories?? I think a YouTube series on the design, construction, grow and opening in the spirit of the NLU Tourist Sauce series would be wildly entertaining. King-Collins seems like the perfect fit for this type of storytelling.

Here's Rob Collins' drawing of the Landmand routing.  I added hole numbers by the greens.

Here's the land from outer space.  Lots of natural hills and valleys to work with.
