Ross was brought in after the Open, to punch up the Main/Bailey layout that hosted the tournament. Greens attributed to Travis seem unlikely to be his, or they were softened over the years.
As the city moved outward, the club decided to move east, and retained Ross to develop the new/3rd iteration of the CC of B. After a number of a-clowns modernized the course over the years, Ron Forse and squad came through in the early 2010s to bring her back to her origins.
The one concession to the membership was the tree on the 17th. It had grown so much in the intervening years, that the membership could not bear losing her. As a result, the fairway runs out to the right, instead of left, as Ross designed her.
