The new tees on the Tenth are set to the right of the original tees and will bring the water on the right more into play, as well as the bunkers. I think the new angle into the green will make the drop shot par 3 a little more exciting. On the Seventeenth, I believe the left section of one of the bunkers before the green will be taken out to provide more room on that side to work with. I've always liked the Seventeenth how it is, I like where it appears in the round, the visual intimidation and the strong reactions it evokes from all ends of the spectrum. I've always felt the hole is anchored to the identity of the course in general, so I'm intrigued to see how these changes come out. I'm glad to hear Alan will be involved.
I disagree with the above comment on the bunkering.
