Call him what you will...old baldy, the fastest shaft in the west, I've been there...Cory Lewis is a stand-up guy. He has a blog on his journey to play every course in the charted galaxy. Now, he has an interview on the interweb. Have a read and stop by his blog:

 8) RM, How did you get that link to be two 1 pt lines?

Cory, How long does it take you to play Little River and what do you shoot?

I once shot 70 in 70 minutes in a cart.  My goal is to shot 68 in 68 minutes, haven't gotten there yet.  I regularly walk the course in about 2 hours.

For my upcoming trip to Maine I will be playing 22 golf courses in 9 days.
Cory,

I would love to see your schedule if appropriate. Fast food in Maine is Lobster Rolls, so I hope you don't have a shellfish problem!

I really do hate the functionality of this DB. It's not Ran's fault, and it makes logical sense to some coder, somewhere, but to the rest of us, it's a constant slap in the face.

Nice interview. As someone who has played with Cory, I can confirm that he plays fast.

A question for Cory: How often do you play somewhere and say to yourself, 'man this place is really not very good.' Do you ever regret playing somewhere because of course quality?

When you are trying to play as many as possible I can’t imagine you have regret that you played somewhere. That said I’m sure there are dozens if not more where Cory has lamented “this place is not very good”.

I never regret playing a course because of the conditions.  Conditions are often out of the control of the staff and since golf is an outdoor sport you just accept what is there and deal with it.  Golf is by its nature an unfair game so why should I worry about the grass?

Most of my disappointment comes from the lack of architectural interest or play-ability.  I play with my 30 handicap wife frequently and often am frustrated with how unplayable some of these golf courses are for her.  The majority of people playing the game are higher handicappers who can't hit the ball very high or very far.  If they aren't having fun when playing a course, the future of our game is doomed.

As a positive example, my 30 handicap wife shot 42 on the front nine at Sand Hills.  Coore & Crenshaw are absolutely awesome at giving the higher handicap player an angle to play their golf courses while keeping the architectural interest very high.  Doak is also very good at this.
