« on: February 16, 2018, 08:40:33 AM »
A fresh name you might recognize has burst onto the architecture scene, Tommy Raynor. His architectural principles harken back to an earlier era, the 1980’s. Tommy recently joined social media and has been sharing his principles, redesign concepts and overarching thoughts on golf course architecture.
A recent interview on the fried egg sat down with the prolific architect to discuss how he got into architecture, what he loves about the ‘80’s, his Raynor roots and much more.

Golf construction & maintenance are like creating a masterpiece; Da Vinci didn't paint the Mona Lisa's eyes first..... You start with the backdrop, layer on the detail and fine tune the finished product into a masterpiece

Satire is sometimes considered the highest form of comedy!
O fools!  who drudge from morn til night
And dream your way of life is wise,
Come hither!  prove a happier plight,
The golfer lives in Paradise!

"I’m still waiting for the results. Grandma Raynor always told us that her mother was in love with Mr. Seth and her husband (Great Grandpa) was ok with it.  All I know is, later she changed her name to Raynor."  ;D

The cart path speed slots are a great 1980's feature being brought back to light.
