Good to be heard from!!  Its been very busy lately and I dont get on here as often as I used to.  This thread got my attention as kid that grew up around coyotes in SD and have always enjoyed hunting them.

To answer your question, a suppressor is what the anti-gun crowd refers to as a silencer.  However contrary to what Hollywood would have you believe they don't actually silence a firearm like they do in the movies, they just help minimize some of the detonation noise at the muzzle. And are very useful for predator hunting, especially coyotes!

Better way to write, would have been a suppressor is what the lay person calls a silencer!  ;)

That way we can avoid any attempt to make the discussion political.

You see them sometimes in Atlanta; no roadrunners.

Bob

Plenty of roadrunners on the courses here in NM. Not that many coyotes.

In AZ, we have plenty of coyotes around the golf courses. But still more roadrunners and bunnies.

I used to work at a couple of nine-holers northeast of Los Angeles in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains.  We didn't see them on the course too often, but they definitely spent some time on the course at night.  Every once in a while you could drive out on the driving range early in the morning and run across half a cat.

Yes, even when faced with coyote's ACME high explosives.
