Liphook or Hayling?
« on: July 25, 2017, 11:17:46 AM »
I will be travelling from Canada to England in a few weeks and will be staying in Hampshire for a few days.  I may have the chance to sneak out for a round of golf and it looks like there are two nice courses located fairly close to where I will be - Hayling and Liphook.   For those that know golf in this area - which course would you recommend? Or am I missing something else that is nearby?

Thanks Sean - do clubs like this have golf clubs available to let?  I might bring shoes but I don't want to be schlepping my clubs around with me.  I guess I can ask when I call or email to try to book a tee time.

Try rental companies. There are a few which will organize pick up /drop off points with the customer.

If you are in that area you are also very close to Hankley Common, Hindhead and Blackmoor. All of which are worth your attention.

Hi Wayne,

Depending on dates I might be able to help you out with a game at Liphook. Let me know your plans and I'll see if I can sort something out so I can show you around, unfortunately I'm quite busy at the moment so it might not be possible but I'm sure you'd be welcome at the club without me!

I'm a big fan of Hayling too, it's a great links course so definitely worth a look and might be able to point you in the right direction there too.

Robin is also correct, there are plenty of other good options.

Cheers

Hayling is great and their new course manager will be working wonders on the course.
