I attended a funeral in Bolton the other day. It's a grim town, but thoughts went back to Bolton Old Links, which I played only once in the 1980s. I seem to recall it with pleasure, a MacKenzie course on hilly land. Has anybody been more recently? Is it worth going back to have another look?
