I am going backwards as time passes. It seems I played many former top 100 courses.


Of the current top 100, I played 6.


4 of the top 15. Three as a guest. One paying full fare.

There was a 0, and there was a 100, and things were pretty evenly spaced out in between.

I think that's exactly as you'd expect — a course is far more likely to have moved down in the rankings than up!

Good Point.  Courses in the 2nd hundred I would rather play than at least 60 courses in the top 100:  Rock Creek Cattle, Philly Cricket, Dismal Red, Wannamoissett, Eastward Ho, Yale, White Bear Yacht Club, Meadow Club.

I'm lucky enough that I can probably find a way to play almost all of the remaining 45, but the question is, do I want to make time to do so when there are many other interesting places to visit?!

Very true!!  I give Fergal shit all the time about leaving early for girl reasons, and he didn't end up marrying that one!!

Another visit is very much on the radar...maybe without Hertz finding a way to charge us another $350 at the end...

Both GD Top 100 courses I worked at are off the list-could it be because I left?


Don't see my number getting higher unless Fazio starts doing redesigns of classic courses


One thing is certain-panelists like striping and waving fescue......


Edit: Interestingly it seems I've played 48 on the GB&I list-from the most recent Top100golfcourses uk website-
surprising because on my last  4 GB&I trips(30+ rounds)  I've played exactly 3 courses(all repeats) that were rated in the top GB & I Top 100 so go figure.

Mean. I don't think SurveyMonkey makes it easy for me to do a median, but the responses look pretty evenly distributed to me.
