So...what came of this? Did local groups indeed take an hour off? Did anyone? What was done during the hour?


If I had a broader platform from which to broadcast I would've introduced a new drink: the "Pennzoil" - which is a 10 oz Arnold Palmer spiked with 2 oz of Graves grain alcohol.


Two or three of those and you'll be the King of any room you're in.

A few places did.  We shut the course and opened the bar area with sandwiches and Arnold Palmers while the funeral was going on...Also had the the workers stop work for two hours at another project we are working....not sure what others did...cheers...

Before a Donald Ross Society event at Beverly, we all watched the service then had lunch. Before my speech we had a moment of silence.
I'm sure those in attendance wished it was longer than just a moment.
