Several of these are absurd (as usual), but the most outrageous may be San Francisco Golf Club--huge fall for no reason I know.

No one has played this course. It only has a handful of members.

How about Ballybunion not making it?


I think it was determined that they skipped a spot in the rankings by accident, and that's where Ballybunion was supposed to be.  Or, whatever your favorite course left off the list would be.  ;)

Do you suppose it is possible that GD made these rankings extra tumultuous just so as to attract attention through controversy?  In a perfect system (maybe an oxymoron when it comes to ratings), there would never be the tremendous kind of movement as there is in these ratings.  Frankly, the movement by itself makes an absurd product, even more absurd.
