"From Robert Trent Jones onward, Cornell has trained a cadre of top golf architects—including the designer of the 2016 Olympic venue."

By Brad Herzog '90

"One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us."

Proud Cornell and Cornell law grad myself. However, relevant to the point at hand, my wife (Hilary Cronheim '07, head of the USGA Library) gave a great presentation on "Cornellians and the Game of Golf" for the Cornell Club of Northern NJ 9 and Dine last year. She read a few choice excerpts from Tom's more unedited versions of the Confidential Guide. Needless to say, the crowd had some great laughs. Tom - if you read this, a few of the people in attendance had played Stone Harbor and your review brought a few people to tears they were laughing so hard.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that the Olympic Golf Course cannot use any chemicals and limited water and yet Rio pumps raw sewage into the Bay used for various offshore Olympic events?
