New course on Kangaroo Island
« on: March 31, 2016, 09:26:26 AM »
As of a February news article this course was going forward.
Originally supposed to be a Greg Norman design, it seems they (as of February) are seeking other architects' proposals.
Anyone heard anything?

I don't know about the course, but visiting Kangaroo Island is on my bucket list so I can stay at Southern Ocean Lodge: https://www.tablethotels.com/en/kangaroo-island-hotels/southern-ocean-lodge/

Adding a top notch course would be another great reason to make the trip.

I heard that LINKS magazine was doing a feature article on the lost plans and diaries and that they were being auctioned on Greenjacket.
(as an aside one has to somewhat question the authenticity of an auction company called "Greenjacket" given that they originally were referred to as Green "Coats")

i live in Adelaide. They are seeking other architects - apparently it wont be Greg Norman. Development approvals are done, just needs finance, plans and construction. just $'s.

the location is idyllic.

not much more to report yet.

Thanks James.
Kind've what I gathered.
Was hoping an architect that posts here might know of the process/progress.
My daughter just moved there from Melbourne.

my nephew just moved there too.
Some of the members at my club have holiday/retirement homes near the course's proposed location.  It is a good spot, apparently.
