GCA Draft - ROUND TWO
« on: April 24, 2003, 08:25:24 PM »
OK.  The SECOND ROUND of the GCA draft will commence.  Same rules apply--that includes the first-come, first-served rule.  That means you're not bound to select in the same order as previously.  It also means that anyone can make submissions

The first round is summarized below.  We'll have the same number of selections this round (if enough interest).

As commissioner, I'll submit the first selection of the second round too.

They are:

Selected as the first pick in the SECOND ROUND by Carlyle Rood (and 13th overall):

(a) Golf Course Architect: GEORGE THOMAS
(b) Golfer: WALTER HAGEN
(c) Captain: TOM WATSON
(d) Course: PEBBLE BEACH

I wonder how Vardon lasted until the second round.   ???  I can think of another significant British Open champion (and golf course architect) that hasn't been selected too!   :o

All right,

1)I'll take Tom FAZIO, yes you heard it
2) Elin Nordegren,  I'll take Tiger's better half (Now Phil, can I ask for an appeal to your ruling, I really want Nordegren)
3)Hal Sutton, Go U.S.A.
4)Friar's Head

Commissioner disqualifies Nordegren.  Again, the "Hootie" test was failed.  (And why not pick Fazio?)

Only THREE MORE selections permitted in the SECOND ROUND!

Hurry!  Oh, my.

I figure we'll close it off after the second round.  I guess we could start a new thread commenting on the final selections and the GLARING OMISSIONS!  I think the order of some of these pick is HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE too.  ;D

I mean if this opens up the floodgates, I'll take Elin's twin sister.  She has to play golf, doesn't she.
