Photo of the Month Thread-June 2015
« on: June 14, 2015, 10:35:43 PM »
Halfway to the end of June, here is the photo I like most from this month. I happened upon the 5th hole at Monroe Golf Club last Tuesday. The 4th to the 6th is an exhilarating run of 5-4-4, with three adventurous tee shots to be played. On number five, you must play over not one, but two right-side fairway bunkers, to find the Elysian Fields. From there, the approach is played past more bunkers (but not too many) to an elevated green, sited on a plateau. As I arrived, the grounds crew tended the sand, so their presence in the bunkers adds a bit more human perspective. Hope you enjoy and hope you contribute some favorites of your own.

Here's a couple from East Hampton GC, an underrated C&C gem.

Yes, and further, we can all agree that looking at Jon's pictures is REALLY fun.

Two from yesterday, the first with a guest hitting his tee shot on the 4th of Royal Melbourne West.

The other image is of the 18th green on East, from the Clubhouse balcony.

I want to put Cavs on a packed-dirt, chihuahua of a golf course and see what kind of shots he gets. I know he's good, I know I get to shoot some terrific courses, but man, he gets on the best ones! I want him on Rattlesnake Dung Golf and Venom Club, and then see what he gets.

Seriously, Juan Caballero, I'm glad you got East Hampton up here. I'd noticed in the past it was a Coore and wondered why it hadn't seen much attention hereabouts. Good stuff, as always.

Ron,

I think this should count... This is a photo of my painting of Jon Cavalier's 13th Hole at Pacific Dunes that I finished painting yesterday.  Frame was added via a website.

Here it is on the easel last night being finished.

I think Jon would make that packed-dirt course look amazing, IMO.

I still wish there was "posting photos for dummies" section in the headings on this site as I have hundreds of photos I would like to share-some of courses we have not seen on here I believe. All help appreciated to the simplest way of getting photos up-ps. I am not very tech savvy! I can just about type😄

Hot and steamy day at Lancaster Country Club. This is #3. It's a wonderful shortish par 4. Playing in from the right is the better line.

That is a great one for the tree removal thread too, yes Jeff?  If I recall correctly, the folks at Forse Design opened that hole up (and others on the course).

Thank you Jason.
You could see the evidence of trees having been limbed up. As for removal, it was my first visit. I can only imaging how many trees were there.

I know that I have a link below every one of my posts that says "How to post pictures" I think Joe Bausch has the same and so do some other guys. Hope that helps.

Ron: I explained the process to Dean in a PM, but a bigger concern is that the new design of the Discussion Group does not appear to allow posting of pictures in the same manner. Am I the only one who has experienced this?

Stewart, is that a church or an academic tower adjacent to the fairway in your Springdale image?
