Evening Guys,

My name is Joe Lynch and I'm a new GCA member.  I was on the waiting list for the Mashie right behind Tom Doak but I can't seem to see my name listed anymore.  This event will be a blast and hope to join you guys.

You left me off the list for Keller.  I was the first alternate before the new list was posted.
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

Unfortunately I am going to have to bow out of the 2015 Midwest Mashie.  My wife and I have a kid on the way and the due date is 9/28...

The event is in great hands!

Your sense of timing is really disappointing.  Congrats, George, and give our best to the mom to be!

Ok, sorry guys. I had a few mistakes in my previous registation list. I've updated it again in the first post, and I'll add it below for good measure. If there are still any errors let me know and I will correct. **Please be sure to check to make sure you're included in the Keller outing if you've registered recently...that's a separate registration.

Thanks.

Windsong served as a brutal test in horrible weather yesterday for US Women's Open Sectional Qualifying:

http://www.mngolf.org/News/Burnham_Headed_to_US_Womens_Open_After_Carding_151_at_Windsong_Farm

They played the course from our red tees at 6300 yards which I suspect will be the most popular tees this fall.

It was a beautiful Spring Minnesota Day yesterday --windchill way below freezing.

Temperatures stayed in the 40s for most of the day with wind gusts reaching 40 mph, something Burnham felt gave her an edge over other players in the field.

I think I have to be in Des Moines for a debate tournament the weekend of the Mashie.  It is killing me to have it at home and not be able to jump in.  If the team's travel plans change and there's a spot open when that happens, though . . .

I'm devastated, but I must bow out of the Mashie again this year.  At some point I'm going to run out of friends getting married.

I am going to need at least 4 to keep half of the Murphy house so please sign up if you are interested.  One benefit of staying there is that I can start you earlier at Windsong and insure a 36 hole day.  I believe the golf rate is a daily rate.

Even though I am not attending, I am surprised the Murphy House wasn't booked months ago.  It looks awesome and I find few things better in golf, than staying on site at a club.

I need to get up there and see you Jason!

It's starting to get real...

My wife has made it clear that any fall trip to the Upper Midwest will require bringing back multiple cases of beer from Wisconsin, and with that in mind I'm now planning to drive up. Is anyone else driving up through Chicago/Wisconsin and interested in playing on the way up? I'm thinking of stopping at Erin Hills on either Wednesday or Thursday to get one last round in there before prices shoot through the roof in 2017. I may also reach out to a few other courses. Basically, my plan is flexible other than that I'm reasonably certain I'd like to play some golf somewhere not too far out of the way. Anyone interested, send a PM or reply here.

I am still in for Murphy house and every thing else. I am planning on coming in early that week and would like to play another round with anyone who will have me. I will have a rental car and dont mind driving. PM me or post it here. Also would like to catch a Twins game.

Great to hear Tim.  It will be exciting to watch Hoover's Indians attempt to play spoiler in the Twin's drive for the pennant.  The Twins are taking a unique approach to winnng games - no offense, mediocre pitching and average defense.
PM Dan Kelly on earlier golf.

The Indians will be miles out of contention by the time the Mashie roles around (but my basketball team hopefully will be gearing up for another run).

Serious question, can I be on Team East? I'm living here, but I'll always identify myself as an Ohioan (even when it's embarrassing to do so). Each of the last two years, I've been forced to play on the West because they don't show up. Just once, I'd like to play on the right team.

If anyone is interested in playing elsewhere during that week, I'd be interested as well (depending on work).
