I go along with you Mark, a very valuable collection. As to other such collections to tap into I believe there is a significant source of aerial photos of the UK&I taken by the Luftwaffa prior to and during WWII. I'm not sure the collection is public access though, it may be of the pay-to-see variety.
As to Royal Jersey, in the 1933 aerial there appears to be a long line of beach huts stretching from about level with the middle of the 2nd hole and running alongside the 3rd hole all heading northwards. Not there now.
Great spot though Royal Jersey what with first 3 holes at RJGC all running alongside the beach and Mont Orgueil Castle in the distance. Probably the most photogenic holes I can ever recall playing, and the opening tee shot with the wind off the left, the beach immediately on the right and the fortifications on each side is pretty daunting/fun. Worth playing.
