Curious.  I have yet to play either but I thought the recieved view  held Lundin over Leven without there being that much in it?   Tom's mates ( ;)) seem to STRONGLY agree and yet several posters above vote the other way round.  Is there that much difference to confidently say why you prefer one over the other to be worth at least a point on the DS, or does it just come down to personal preference?

Since I was one of those above, I can explain myself!

I thought Leven held together better as a routing in that the course seemed to flow more naturally.  I really like a number of holes at Lundin, including the first 5 and number 10.  However, the less interesting holes on top of the hill no only seemed sub-par, but did not fit the character of the rest of the course.

Leven has a similar issue in that the inland holes were less interesting than those along the coastline, but I preferred them to the weak holes at Lundin.  Leven had a greater number of holes which I really enjoyed including its first 5, 13, 14 and 18.

Having played both, and knowing the history of the two clubs, I can't help but think the original course between the two clubhouses must have been spectacular.
