Come on Mike,

Give the guy a break.  The Youporn "Inbee Park's Mustache" category is like heroin for some guys.

Everything wrong about GCA on one page.. not surprising, since the thread was started by Mike Young.

hmmmm...I guess I can assume you didn't like this thread? :)

Mike (Young),
I was away long enough to have forgotten how much I like Anthony Butler.

Sweeney,
Not sure you want my picture on the internet next to those two. Their home country (let's not name it) must be a printing press for beautiful girls. I'm curious how those B&W shots I took with the Mark II came out. They damn near melted the camera.

As to the original question, my bet is that behind closed doors, Billy Payne and the committee are delighted Tiger is out - and hope he never wins another Green Jacket. They might allow a cursory mention or two in the broadcast - with Jim Nance feigning disappointment - but the idea of a congenitally promiscuous black guy, with a line of notches on his hickory shaft of white women, cannot be a hit in the bowels of the Gentlemen South.

Those guys must have been traumatized between 2000-2002 - a dark-skin three-peat with a Vijay, Tiger, Tiger run. Don't tell me they aren't still just a teensy bit bigoted down there. Billy was born in Athens, and was both undergrad and went to law school at Bulldog U. I have a hard time believing a guy who has never left that little corner of the south is a pillar of racial tolerance.

I read his press release and officially call Bullshit.

At the risk of sounding all populist, good to see Gib chiming in again.

If I say that shit about Augusta, coming as I do from my woolly liberal, tree hugging perspective, I'm lambasted as being, well, a woolly liberal. Coming from Gib it has so much more clout.

SHUT THIS THREAD DOWN.  ;D

You guys really have no idea about the South.  Boston and a few mid western cities are much worse regarding racism than here.  This thread started as nothing to do with race.  The thought was that ANGC would not allow the ongoing talk of TW during the telecast that has been taking place the last few weeks.  I am sick of the pompous ass , mousse haired, sun-tanned, man scaped attitude ;D ;D of people that don't know anything about the South telling me our views.  We have no more or no less racial problems than other cities in the US.

Mike,

I am well aware you live in Athens. Have several dear friends who are Bulldogs.

My post is not a j'accuse of the entire South . . . . . . just ANGC.

Yep...him and Davey had a thing going on...

He went off to Congress and served a spell
Fixin' up the government and laws as well.
Took over Washington, so we hear tell,
And patched up the crack in the Liberty Bell.
Davy, Davy Crockett, seein' his duty clear. (Serving his country well)

When he come home, his politickin' done,
The western march had just begun.
So he packed his gear, and his trusty gun
And lit out a grinnin' to follow the sun.
Davy, Davy Crockett, Leadin the Pioneers.
