GolfClubAtlas.com shirts
« on: March 13, 2014, 11:32:26 AM »
As a follow-up to my New Year’s post, this email contains information on the GolfClubAtlas.com shirts by Peter Millar.

The fabric is their Performance-E4 fabric stuff which is ideal for golf. Civilization has progressed and dignity reclaimed: the days of looking like a drowned rat walking up 18 in my Jeff Rose shirts are - mercifully - gone.

Here is a picture of the Peter Millar solids and ‘competition’ stripes with soft collars being offered:

The stylish GCA logo, perhaps the most recognized golf architecture logo emanating from a web site in Southern Pines, North Carolina  ;), is on the chest (the one in the picture above is strictly illustrative of its position, the actual logo is seen below):

Shirts run true to size. I am an extra fat  :-[ in most shirts and I am an extra large in Peter Millar too. If you are unsure of your size, I suggest not ordering as we have no ability to re-stock; only shirts with defects can be returned.

Jerry Kluger is the mastermind behind this offering and is running with it from this point. His email is avantilover@yahoo.com and his cell is 301.257.1238. His various GCA golf bag projects have been a HUGE success in getting the GolfClubAtlas.com name out there and I am sure this endeavor will be equally so. The cost is $65 per shirt + shipping of $4.75 in the USA (plus tax if shipped within North Carolina). If you buy two or more shirts, shipping is free in USA. International shipping charges will be addressed on a case by case basis.

Jerry will order the shirts as payment is received. Checks should be made out to GolfClubAtlas.com and mailed to:

There is downside to wearing one. If a tall guy with glasses lumbers up to you in an airport when you have it on, it’s me saying hello. So buyer, beware!

Best,

Nordstrom's carries these shirts, so that would be a good place for a quick fitting check.

Those are good looking shirts!

Does that stretch stuff make you look fatter?

I've been told that horizontal stripes do have a "widening effect" on the torso!

No, your ass does.
I get it, you are mad at the world because you are an adult caddie and few people take you seriously.

Excellent spellers usually lack any vision or common sense.

I know plenty of courses that are in the red, and they are killing it.

Is there any chance that somebody might accept my British pounds for such a fine shirt?

Can payment be made using the paypal button on the gca website?
Ask not what GolfClubAtlas can do for you; ask what you can do for GolfClubAtlas.

We are not using Paypal for this.  I have had requests for overseas shipments and I will be looking into it with respect to shipping costs and payments.

Count me as another UK based GCAer interested in one.  Would it make things easier if someone at this end collected payment in pounds and made one single payment from the UK end?
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

I have two US brand shirts, Donald Ross and Fairway & Greene, both are size M.

Would anybody here know if these shirts are similar in fitting size?

I have many Peter Millar shirts and from that experience I've found:
1) Don't expect much shrinkage (of the shirt that is)
2) Sizes run average compared to other brands. Not slim cut but not baggy / generous either.

Perhaps the shirt dimensions could be posted if there are samples?

I think Peter M. fits very similar to Fairway & Greene from my experience.

The shirts are not tight fitting like Polo RLX, etc., they are a nice full fit.  I wear medium in these shirts like I would with Footjoy, Fairway and Greene, etc. but I would wear large in RLX or Travis Matthew.

Bill M- which shirt (s) are you getting?  I'd hate to show up an event with both of us wearing the same shirt and be confused for David.  (BTW, I thought Nuzzo should have sent Bogey a thank you note re: the funny pic thread).

Jerry Kluger- does gca.com get a small donation from this?  I got 100+ shirts and would be more motivated if it was (also offsetting the possibility of being confused with Bill's son).

Lou: Yes, GCA is getting money from this and my take is zero.  But it shouldn't be viewed as a replacement for the annual contribution.  BTW: If I didn't have so many golf shirts I would seriously consider quitting this game.
