During my recent (this past weekend) venture to Orlando for work, I played Marriott Grande Pines.
There were some decent words about it on GCA, that it was normal FL fare with some exciting green complexes recently renovated by Steve Smyers. After one play I agree with the assessment that the new greens are good enough to make the course stand-out in the field of Orlando publics.
Unfortunately, its all for naught. We were informed by one of the cart staff that the course was recently sold for $24M, and will provide 170 acres for new housing. Too bad, and I bet those in charge of the renovation spending want their $ back!
