Hello everyone, I recently joined the site and figured I'd put a little information about myself on here as others have done in the past.

My name is Amol Yajnik, and I've lived in Brookline, Massachusetts with my wife since 2008.  I'm not in the golf industry, just an avid golfer that has read this board for the past few years and have learned a good deal about golf course design and architecture during that time.  I'm not a member of a club around here, so the majority of my golf is played at George Wright, which is a Donald Ross design that is operated by the City of Boston.  It's my favorite public course in the area when one combines the proximity of the course compared to other good public courses in the metro Boston area and the quality of the layout.  I haven't played many private courses at all, but around this area, I played a one-day tournament at Essex County Club a couple of years ago and really enjoyed that course.

Thanks for welcoming me into your group, and feel free to ask any questions that you may have.

Welcome Amol!

I went to school in Boston and caddied at TCC in Brookline on the weekends. George Wright is a very neat place and one of the best Municipal courses I've seen.

Ever hang out at the Publick House? I miss that place!

I live about a 10 minute walk from the Publick House.  Given my love of beer, that's a good and bad thing.  I've spent a good bit of time there in the past few years.  If you're ever up in the area, let me know, I'll buy you a beer there.
