Loved them all though :)

Bump - Bill's T100 post had me thinking about this thread and with the openings of Tara Iti, St Emilion and Forest Dunes, along with more time for his other courses to bed-in, I am interested to see what people think.

I was thinking I need to re-do this for our web site, which doesn't list anything after Streamsong as one of our ten best courses, because that's how long ago we did our RGD Top Ten.  I will let you know how my associates' list compares to those posted here.

The best Tom Doak & Co. golf course that I have played is Rock Creek. That golf course is amazing.

My second favorite is Old Macdonald.

My list has to be pretty unique on here I'd think. I need to get out more.

I'm embarrassed that I have not yet been to Bandon. Lost Dunes could switch places with Stonewall Old and it would be ok. I almost put Stone Eagle ahead of Sebonack. I just fell in love with the course and place. It is just amazing. I can't tell if the course was that good or the experience that good.
Ballyneal
Sebonack
Stone Eagle
Streamsong
Stonewall old
Lost Dunes

Stonewall North
Commonground
Beachtree
High Point

Does anyone have the Doak Triple Crown of Closed Courses?
High Pointe, Beechwood, Charlotte Golf Links

Pacific Dunes, Old MacDonald, Charlotte Golf Links, Heathlands...I don't have enough to even venture a ranking. Chose the wrong line of work, I guess.

Barnbougle Dunes (my favourite modern course anywhere in the world)
Ballyneal
Old Macdonald (not played, toured the winter before it opened)
Pacific Dunes
Streamsong Blue
Renaissance Club
St Emilion (not played, toured shortly before opening)

NR: Dismal River Red: saw routing before start of construction work. I could tell it was going to be good, but how good was impossible to say.

Tara Iti (far and away)

Dismal Red
Ballyneal
Cape Kidnappers

Renaissance
Streamsong Blue
Sebonack

Everyone was raving about St Andrews Beach when I was in Melbourne. Even though I have glaring gaps in terms of visiting Bandon and Tasmania, I know I'll get there.  In that sense Rock Creek is top of my Doak "to do" list.
2011 highlights- Royal Aberdeen, Loch Lomond, Moray Old, NGLA (always a pleasure), Muirfield Village, Saucon Valley, watching the new holes coming along at The Renaissance Club.

Only have two to compare.  Barnbougle Dunes beats Renaissance.  St Andrews Beach on Saturday will at least add a third...
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.

I am sure a few people played all three.  Jon Cummings, for one, has played pretty much all of my courses.  However, the only time I ever played Charlotte Golf Links was hitting it around before the course had opened.  I never got to play the Bay of Dreams or the nine holes we finished at Wicked Pony, either ... nobody told me they were going to go away so fast!
