Too many events too little time (and money).

If we do it in June, the rate will go up by $150 or so. If we did that we would go to July or August when Seattle has its best weather.

Traditionally it has been in April, or May. Only in June if you go to Canada and want the snow to be melted. When Dan King wanted the summer date last year, we asked him to get it back to April or May.

Put me on the probably list.

Partial patricipation and I will make sure the putter is there

Funny story about making sure the Kings Putter is there. It was nowhere to be found for about three weeks in September.

I'm in. I'll be finishing my college career around that time, which means celebration time.

It is my plan to get my game in shape and actually participate this year in golf rather than just in the drinking and smoking portions of the festivities.

Cheers,
Dan King

Really good interest so far, thanks to all who have responded.

Since we are playing public courses, we should be able to accommodate all who are interested. I am going to plan on about 30 spots and 20 for the hotel package. I will have more info within few weeks about deposits and deadlines for signing up.

PS. Bob, just say the word and Vic and I would love to join you for some rounds. You are of course always welcome to come down and visit us or we can drive up and get a round or two in Vancouver. Just let us know when.

Good work Rich.

I am a 'probably not' but it's tempting to try and make it work.

I am drafting Joe Fairey as my partner.  If not available or refuses, Robert Ball.  INAOR, Corey Lewis (though I will need a gas-powered cart to keep up).  Otherwise, put me out last with Dan King and we'll play really good golf together, in our heads.  (Connor- I am giving you a break.  You're welcome.)

For scheduling purposes, the following is a list of 2014 unofficial GCA.com events.

PHOSPHATE FEATHERY-   3/13-16

KING PUTTER-   5/30-6/1

5TH MAJOR-  6/27-29

BUDA-  9/9-12

DIXIE CUP- 10/?

Anything else in the works?

Sorry about the lack of update. I was hoping to get some additional info on deposits.

I have adjusted the dates since the original date was over holiday weekend. The new dates are, May 30th through June 1st. The hotel rooms have been reserved and course tee times are set. I just need the final cost and deposit days, which should be coming shortly. I hope many of you can make it.

I'm not familiar with golf in that part of the world. How many of these are walking courses and how many riding only?

Brent,

Chambers Bay is walking only.
Gold Mountain is quite walkable, but allow cart use.
The Home Course is a little less walkable, also allows cart use.

Thanks, Garland.

Richard,

Consider me "strongly interested". If I can manage to there on frequent flier miles, I'm in. If I have to buy a ticket, pretty sure I'm still in.
