Gentlemen,
As I mentioned on another thread Frank Pont's idea of having a list of "interesting" threads made available, for study purposes as an example, struck a chord with me. Below is an HTML link and .doc link to about 500 GCA threads that I have compiled. These threads are interesting to me but I am not suggesting that they are the kernel of GCA threads by any manner of means but may make a start for any student or fellow tragic.
My idea is/was to go over the threads and sift them for the ideas and counterpoints that the good denizens of this site have been promulgating. From there I was going to construct an essay on golf course architecture for my own fun and learning exercise! Chuckling here as the project is going very slowly! I have also noticed that a lot of what I would be writing has already been inscribe by others more worthy! A plug for Ian Andrew's blog page here.
A couple of things.
My understanding is that this HTML list, once downloaded from my Dropbox public folder, should be able to be IMPORTED into your web-browser. There are a number of "personal" bookmarks at the beginning of the list which you can junk when it is in your browser.
My categorisation of the threads is really "Colinese" like and may bear no relationship as to how you may want to categorise things. So do not be too harsh on me!!!!
Each threads title can be seen and a click (double-click?) will bring up the thread in GCA.
The second .doc link is the same material (without my rubbish!) in a Word doc format if you cannot be bothered with the HTL/Web one.

Cheers Colin
