I think CS will have every chance of getting another major event in the near future. Last years event was well run, course was in great condition and it has all the infrastructure around it. CS having the Sottish Open has had a major effect on the areas profile from a golfing point of view.

Is Castle Stuart worthy of hosting the Open? - the article seems to suggest that would be the "dream" the manager is referring to.
I played CS on media day after the first Scottish Open in 2010.

Great course and certainly worthy of the Scottish Open. But the British Open?  I don't think so.

who mentioned The Open? Phil mentioned World Golf Championship event. The first Scottish Open at CS was in 2011 not 2010.
