All of these comments like "I wonder what the East team thinks" or "my apologies to the West team" seem to imply others know what team they represent.  Did I miss team announcement?  Where is the line drawn for East / West?

My understanding... Start at Lake Michigan and draw a line southward down the western border of Indiana and continue until you get to the western border of Miss. All points east of that line (eg, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc.) are on the East team.

I'll defer to George, though, on the official call.

Of the 23 confirmed on the first page, how many are "east"ers.

I would be on the East Team in this case...

Tim, are the yellow pants our Saturday or Sunday uniform?

I always thought yellow pants were Memorial Day to Labor Day but if you have a matching pair then I am in!

Howard is correct about East and West generally, though there will obviously be adjustments made to even out the teams.  Chances are all of the guys who are East geographically will end up on the East, as will a couple guys from the West to even things out.

So safe to assume if I am east of Chicago that I will end up on the east team since it sounds like participants are skewed to the west?

Eric - If I had played a single round of golf in my home state the past 18 months then I would have wanted it to have been with you!

You are welcome to buy me lunch any time you want to make that hour drive.

See you soon!

It sounds like there is one open spot for lodging at the club due to Mark Smolen's cancellation.  Anyone interested can call the club at 231-263-3000.

You specifically scheduled the Mashie with Northwestern's schedule (off week) in mind and now Mark cancels?

Ha! I'm embarrassed enough as it is. Hopefully one of these days..

I did bring the wife and kids to the big city on Friday and met up with the Bogey man, who gave us a roof top tour of the Pinnacle Building. Awesome place. I said to him as we were leaving, "We're gonna beat Oregon tomorrow!". He just smiled and said, 'as I recall, you said that before the Alabama game, too.'

Gentlemen

Is it possible to accommodate a last minute add/GCA newbie? The stars miraculously aligned to allow me to attend. Having enjoyed 36 at Kingsley earlier this year, I am thrilled to have a chance to go back.

LOL. Sorry team. Unfortunately duty calls at the office. I know, I know, work isn't supposed to interfere with golf, but alas this is a deal I cannot get out of. . .

Brian,

The shop is small, but it should have most anything you need besides clubs or shoes.

Due to the unfortunate cancellation of Eric Smith, another spot in one of the cabins has opened up at the club.  Eric was sure to warn that anyone taking his spot in the cabin will have to be prepared to share a room with the one and only JC Jones...
