Bill McBride,

Black tees

Blue

8, 11, 17, 18

Red

5, 10,  11, 12  15, 16

Green tees

Blue

3, 4,

He drove the ball very well and hit his fairway woods very well.
His irons and short game need work, although his bunker game improved dramatically during our stay

You do get a lot of bunker practice at Streamsong!

I'm starting to plan a trip to St Andrews and North Berwick with my son for May 2014. As he's 41 I know he snores a lot louder than son probably does, so I'm taking ear plugs!

Jed,

Groucho Marks got it right.

You're only as old as the women you feel.

I married a much younger, much nicer, much better looking woman.

Everybody understands why I married her.
No one understands why she married me.

Well aware, my good man.  ;)

Bill,

That's funny.

My son said that I woke him up at 4:00am with my snoring the first night.

When David was 18 I took him on a couple of college visits and we shared a room.  The first night he called home around 11 and asked his mother, "How do you do it, how do you sleep?"

She says, dead pan, "Be sure you get to sleep first!"

At 71, with a wrecked left knee, I'm still fairly competitive, still capable of making pars, birdies and holes in one, and, with a gorgeous wife more than 20 years my junior, I'm very, very happy. ;D ;D ;D

great trip with your son Pat.  :)[

William,

We had a really great time.

A late afternoon round on Tuesday, dinner with Bill Brightly and his group Tuesday night.
36 with a doctor from Houston on Wednesday.
Wednesday night we Met some fellows from Washington DC, including an Orthopedic Surgeon I previously met at NGLA.
Also Spent some time with a few fellows from Baltusrol and Gulph Mills
Golf with a fellow from Chicago Thursday morning and a fellow from Minneapolis in the afternoon.

Also spent some enjoyable time with Kyle Harris, Rusty, Scott, Chip and Rich Mack

Bill's group and especially Scott were really nice to Ryan at dinner.
And when they sat down to play poker later that night I had to tell Ryan that dinner with the guys was okay, but poker was off limits.
But they were really very nice to him and I appreciated that

Everyone at Streamsong was pleasant and accomodating

Ryan found out the hard way that his father had a misspent youth when he challenged me to pool Wednesday night.

It was a special couple of father-son days

.

Pat,

sometime we'll have compare mis-spent youths at the billiard table, LOL
It's all about the golf!

Well, Pat, I've seen photos of you and I've experienced your personality (at least the online version), so the only remaining plausible answer would be...money.

 ;)

Tim,

That would seem to be the prudent answer, but, she's got more than me, so you're out with that guess.

I believe you Pat.

Having now seen a picture of you and a well presented young man, if I'm to believe that this lad is indeed your son, I will have to conclude that the wife is as described as he's obviously not got that look from your genes.  ;) ;D

So how many strokes is the kid giving me?

Jud,

What became obvious during our visit to Streamsong was that my son's golfing future is ahead of him and that mine is behind me.

His dad still poses a significant challenge for him, but I suspect that a year from now our positions will be reversed, and I can't wait for that to happen

Pat-Sounds like you and Ryan had a fantastic trip. There is something very special about the bond that is forged on the golf course between father and son. I remember that my claim to fame used to be that I was the best player in my house but alas that ship has sailed. I've seen my son shoot some pretty good scores and the thrill never gets old. Glad you guys enjoyed SS!

Paul,

I thank my lucky stars for that every day.

He's such a good lad and we had such a great time.

Is he hitting into somebody?

Yep, he thought they were from Northwestern.   ;D

Sorry, Pat.  Couldn't resist.
