Continue to work on my game.

Get my son more into golf one way or another... maybe get him a SNAG set.

Make as many pilgrimages to Ballyneal as possible!

Play some new courses... French Lick and Vegas are booked, Nebraska trip (Sand Hills/ Dismal/ Prairie/ Firethorn) is in the planning stages, Seminole is next on the list.

Have a wedding in Bend, OR too, so I'll be looking for recommendations out there (won't have time to go over to Bandon).

Hopefully:

Chicago GC
Shoreacres
Medinah #3
Join a club in Chicago
US Amateur at Brookline - hopefully parlay that into a sweet trip (Boston GC, Newport CC, Myopia (!!!), Kittansett)

And in the category of no way, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, but it's fun to dream:

US Open at Merion
Walker Cup at NGLA

Terry,
There may be a spot left for you for PD- you meet all the criteria! We are out Friday may 10th evening and back that Sunday night- staying in the cabins. 36 each day- think about it and let me know- I think we have a spot or two left.

Pine Valley is at the top of my wish list for 2013. Probably not going to happen, but a guy can dream.

Brian - if your world ranking is high enough come and play the (British) Amateur at Deal in June. Your chances of playing the Open, US Open and The Masters will also increase!

I just want to play some great courses i have never played before and do the hundred hole hike.

I dont really have a list of courses because i dont want to be an access whore, but if it is a top course and i have an invite, ill do whatever i can to make it.

I am cancelling 2013 so I can buy a Patek Philippe watch, knock out Esquire Magazine's Top 75 books for men and hone my newly acquired 5K skills.  Instead of poster-of-the-year I'm going for poseur-of-the-year.  You guys set a high bar.

I am sure we have all began to make our 2013 lists (and are checking them twice).

What NEW places are you all planning on or hoping to visit in 2013?

My top 3 on the radar...

1. Merion (stars are hopefully aligning)
2. Mountain Lake (will be my first Raynor!)
3. Streamsong (booked...not sure which course though)

4...Win "The Match".  I think it is my year.  I plan on being at least 10 up after January.

Interesting....
2016 Highlights:  Streamsong Blue (3/17); Streamsong Red (3/17); Charles River Club (5/16); The Country Club - Brookline (5/17); Myopia Hunt Club (5/17); Fishers Island Club (5/18); Aronomink GC (10/16); Pine Valley GC (10/17); Somerset Hills CC (10/18)

My list is a lot less ambitious than most.
1. Make the drive down to: Italy for La Betulle / Corsica for Sperone
2. Finally get up to London for some heathland golf, as I've planned the trip every year for the last five
3. Sneak in some golf in Chicago/Wisconsin when home for my stateside wedding
4. Paris golf weekend
5. Finally meet some of you others for a round or two!

Merry Christmas to all

Return "home" to Deal in early August for a few days at RCP and nights at Fawlty Towers.

Watch Ogilvy Clayton continue transforming Bonnie Doon by altering 8, 11 & 16. Hopefully get my hands dirty helping out on some grunt work.

Take a few more lessons and try to keep improving. The game's more fun when you play well.

My 2013 travel can't possibly rival 2012, but they are famous last words and I have been wrong about that before...

Some buddies and I (including a poster here, Mike Herrmann) are making our first ever trip to Scotland in late April / early May next year. Our itinerary, which is 100% booked and ready to go, is: Nairn (18), Castle Stuart (36), Royal Dornoch (36), Carnoustie (18), St. Andrews New (18), St. Andrews Old (18), Kingsbarns (18), Muirfield (36 unless they don't allow us to go back out in the afternoon...I had heard that may happen), North Berwick (18), and Gullane #1 (18).

Really looking forward to it.

1. Pebble Beach is the only big name course that I'm actively planning to knock off this year
2. Meet more GCAers. Always like to meet people from this board. Great golf partners.
3. Try not to feel jealously towards some of you over the 2013s that you have planned.

We must move in similar social circles as I've played nearly all the ones you have, and none of the ones you haven't. Anyway, really not sure where I'll be living and working next year but if I'm still up north I hope you'll find time for a game at Lossiemouth.
