Green conditions in the northeast???
« on: July 03, 2003, 08:26:14 AM »
I am interested in polling NY area golfers about green conditions at their home courses. Right now, are your greens below average for your course, average, or better than average? I am trying to determine how much effect this strange weather Should have on green conditions. Thanks!

Jeff Lewis,

I think it's more a function of time then conditioning.

Many greens appear to be 2-4 weeks behind schedule.

I attribute this solely to the weather and TEPaul's influence.

Many courses in central CT were way behind schedule for almost all of spring...holes at courses as prominent as TPC River Highlands had temporary greens. It's taken until June/July now for them to get into decent shape. Hopefully they will be fine for the GHO.
