Ballybunion 12th, 16th, 17th, 18th Today

Because it never gets old.
(iPhone images)
(The 16th and 18th are from a couple of days ago)

12th, 214 yards. That's the 11th on the left tumbling down along the coast.
The 12th reminds me very much of Sand Hills #13

16th, looking back down the fairway, and from above on the 17th tee

Neil,
Thanks for posting the pics. It brings to mind great memories. My visit to Ballybunion was 2009. Those 3 holes were truly memorable. Although my pint on the clubhouse veranda pales in comparison to the view you had.

Neil,

Thanks for the photos.  Always good to see Ballybunion.  Hope to be there next year.

It looks like the course was in good condition and also a nice day to play. The 2 players in picture 4 were in shirtsleeves, was it pretty warm?

I'd guess about 60 degrees. A good strong south, southeast wind. Almost no rain for a week now, though it was predicted most days.

Dolphins (porpoises?) jumping offshore. Waves up to the gabions. Enough cloud cover to keep sunscreen in the bottle.

Ground is firm, pretty fast. Grass is very good ( with some new growth suffering due to horrible weather most of the previous month.)

Maintenance Meld excellent.

Hard to get better, but it will.

Got a quick quick loop of the front-nine of RCD this evening. As I came over the 9th hill the hole at sunset.... because of the weird weather today looked far better than I have ever seen it. Left my phone at home sadly.

so beautiful, thanks for posting!!!!!!!!!!!!
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Neil,

Tell me you confounded the caddies and putted from fifty yards out.

A very special place in many of our lives.

Hi Neil,

It has been too long since I have made it over. God, I miss being there and being on the Cashen so much!

Please give my best to Kevin and Sharon.......and tell them it won't be too long again before I squeeze in a visit.

Best Regards,

Tim Weiman
