Dan H -- I recall the US Contingent at Boomerang 1 were amazed by the night sky at Barnbougle. It is fairly amazing.

Adam -- Yes, direct Syd > Laun service available, though there are good excuses to fly via Melbourne and spend a couple of days on the sandbelt en route...

Bart, enjoy Barnbougle it's a special place.  You're not going to New Zealand until next year correct?

PS, put yourself in our shoes from down under trying to get elsewhere in the world! My last trip was about 38 hours door to door; ZQN - AKL - LAX - ATL + two hour taxi..

Well:

I got there!

Just home but here a couple of fun pics from my first day there:

The view out of the charter plane window on the approach in Barnbougle with the Dunes and Lost Farm below:

And as a thank you to Mac for his kindness on my delayed journey, I present the thirteenth at Barnbougle Dunes:

A close up of the green (would have been a great place for my first ace, missed it by that much!):

More thoughts later!

Bart -

What are your impressions of both Barnbougle and Lost Farm?
